a little about..

Erika Levy

In a former life, I lived in Los Angeles working in the advertising / commercial production industry and was most well-known for launching a software startup for presenting online reels and rough cuts. However, my life changed course when my husband and I moved to Denver, CO in 2010.

It took me a long time to decompress after living in la la land. Yoga Studios seemed to be on every corner, so I took advantage of free class promos and tried all different kinds: Iyengar, Forrest, Ashtanga, Hatha, Fusion, Yoga Sculpt, etc. However, I fell in love with CorePower Yoga, a Vinyasa “flowing” style of power yoga that is practiced in a heated room.  Sweating it all out, letting go and clearing my mind helped me through a huge transition and I wanted to delve deeper.

In 2011, I completed the CorePower Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Training just to deepen my practice. I never imagined in a million years I would actually teach yoga, but soon I was teaching coworkers on lunch breaks and at a gym after work.

Between 2012 – 2015, I became a Mother of two beautiful children: Ariana, who is now 4, and Niko, who just turned 2. Throughout my pregnancies and postnatal, I went to a fantastic studio in Denver called The Mama’hood, where I not only practiced yoga, but became a part of a wonderful community of mothers, doulas, yoga teachers and breastfeeding experts. Sometimes that community was my saving grace, and I wanted to learn more and pay it forward.

Since then, I completed several certifications in postnatal, infant, toddler and children’s yoga. I am registered with the Yoga Alliance with the RYT-200 designation and am insured.

I moved back home to the Pacific Northwest in August, 2016. Now that I’ve put down roots in Camas, I would like to re-establish that connection to community.

Currently, I teach Toddler & Me Yoga on Wednesdays from 10:00am – 11:00am at the Lacamas Lake Lodge.  Starting in January, I will also teach Imagination Yoga for kids 4 – 10 years old on Mondays at 4:30pm – 5:30pm. Visit https://register.cityofcamas.us/ for more info.

I am interested in working with teachers, schools, individuals, companies or groups. I would also love to offer Yoga Birthday Parties, which are customized for the child, and explore other events. Please contact me to inquire!
